I was just searching for a solution to a Linux server administration challenge. One of the results was from the site

The site begins by giving the false impression that payment is required for viewing of solutions:

Next, it appears that the "accepted solution" can be viewed for free, but only with a 7-day trial membership:

Users who scroll to the bottom of the page can access all comments for free:

What is the reason for this design? Perhaps the full comments are displayed at the bottom of the page for search engine optimization purposes. The current design probably causes much potential revenue to be lost, and most likely drives away many potential users of the service.
